What is your refund policy?

We require a 25 % nonrefundable deposit for all editing, formatting, and cover design services. We do not offer refunds for cancellations or completed services. Please read our Refund Policy in the Footer.

Do you offer Payment Plans?

We do not offer Payment Plans for our Coaching sessions. The discount on the sessions is available by immediate payment.

We do offer Payment Plans for Editing, Publishing and Marketing. We have two choices you can choose from when you would like a Payment Plan for editing purposes.

1- We invoice via PayPal and they offer instalment options. Please note that these options and payment plans are not associated with SafeHaven Publishing; you enter this agreement with PayPal.

2- You can discuss a payment plan with SafeHaven Publishing. Together we will agree on an amount paid by you per week, fortnight or month. Please note that you will receive your Edited Files after the last payment is complete.

The Payment Plans for Publishing and Marketing depend on your personalised package. Please contact us to discuss this further.

Can I contact you by phone, Zoom or WhatsApp?

We are a small company and cannot take phone calls or video calls. All our first communication is via email which allows us to respond efficiently. If you want we can schedule a call with you to talk everything through and answer any questions you might have. When you use our services we will have regular personal contact.

Will I receive my Files before the final invoice?

No, final payment is due before we return edited files, formatted manuscripts, etc. Once the remaining balance has been paid, we will send the files over to you. Final files are usually sent on the same day of payment unless you pay after our business hours or on a weekend.

What is the best order for editing?

We suggest the following order for editorial services:

· Developmental Editing

· Line Editing

· Copy Editing

· Proofreading

When you change this order it could result in having to backtrack, which will cost both time and money. If you want to use Test Readers, please visit this page for more information.

How far in advance should I book?

We book out quickly, especially for our editing services. If you’re interested in working with us, we suggest you reach out as soon as possible to discuss where you are and when you would need us.

Do you currently have a waiting list?

With the expansion of our team, we have freed up space on our waiting list. We are now able to take on more clients. Please reach out to us to inquire about our availability as spots may become available.

Do you work with contracts?

Yes, we will first sign a booking contract and an editing/publishing/ marketing contract two weeks before your scheduled start date. Our Editors and ALPHA/BETA Readers are signing a Non-Disclosure agreement before the manuscript will be sent to them.

Which Payment options do you have?

At this point we are using PayPal, but we are setting up other payment methods as we speak.

I found a grammar mistake after editing and proofreading! How is this possible?

Our team of editors and proofreaders consists of human beings, which means that there is a possibility of overlooking mistakes, typos, or any other errors during the editing process. Despite our utmost efforts to eliminate any issues, we cannot guarantee that your book will be completely error-free. We assure you that we will always strive to provide the highest quality editing services, but there is a small chance that some errors might be missed.
